Direct Energy Marketing offers natural gas and electric service to more than 6 million customers across Canada and the US (primarily in Texas, and in the US Northeast, the Midwest, and the South). The Centrica subsidiary offers home energy conservation programs and comprehensive energy services for businesses. It provides HVAC and plumbing installation services, as well as repair and maintenance services to home builders and homeowners. Direct Energy is also engaged in power generation, natural gas production (it has annual production volumes of 59 billion cu. ft. of natural gas equivalent), wind power purchases, and other wholesale energy activities.
